Official visit of the staff of the Public Association “Academy of Mass Media of Tajikistan” to the cities and districts of Khatlon region from 05.12.2016 to 06.12. 2016 was aimed at conducting a public opinion poll to determine the actual audience of TV and newspaper viewers. Questionnaires were prepared to determine the actual number of TV viewers, technical and creative activities of TV and radio stations and publications, most of which were sent to the cities of Qurghonteppa and Kulob. We met directly in the streets and markets, universities and cultural institutions, education, health, executive and law enforcement agencies, and asked questions about their views on television programs and publications.
We went to Jaihun and Bokhtar districts, met with employees of education, culture, government agencies and businesses, asked questions, and each of them expressed their views on these TV channels and publications. Women and intellectuals were more active in expressing their views on television. Young people were more interested in sports, show programs. Older viewers were more interested in public opinion programs, advice and language of the programs. In Kulob, the questionnaires were distributed among university students, schools, government agencies, executive bodies and the power of questionnaires. In the survey, every citizen was free to express their views on the activities of radio and television and publications.
